Matt Pierce is a strong advocate for our community at the state house. He opposed bills that put our schools at risk and will fight to restore education budget cuts made by the Governor. He understands education is the key to our future prosperity.
Pierce also understands the state budget should not be balanced on the backs of those most in need. Social service programs not only improve the quality of life for people facing significant challenges, they often save taxpayers money in the long run.
Representative Pierce is working to create jobs by promoting the renewable energy industry. Solar, wind and other forms of clean energy are not only good for our environment, they can create jobs and diversify Indiana's economy.
Matt Pierce believes government must be open and transparent to the citizens it serves. He has voted to strengthen open records laws and supports posting every government transaction on the internet for everyone to see. Shining the bright light of public scrutiny on state government will make it more responsive to the people.
