  • Masters in Public Affairs from the IU School of Public and Environmental Affairs, 1997. B.A. in Economics and Spanish from Penn State University
  • Monroe County Recorder, 2006 to present. Served two years as a regional vice-president of the Indiana Recorders’ Association
  • Treasurer of the Pinestone Neigbhorhood Association, 2008 to present
  • Spent five years on the implementation team and advisory council of the Community Court in Austin, Texas. Community Courts direct offenders to treatment and community service restitution, rather than to jail
