Meet Ashley Pirani, Secretary

Ashley Pirani was born and raised in Mishawaka, IN, but has called Bloomington home since 2007. They joined the Shine Insurance team in 2018 where they are the Operations Manager. Ashley loves the work they do in insurance and helping the Shine Team strive to be their best selves. They began their political journey in 2016 and ran for office for the first time in 2017 after being caucused in for County Council District 3. While the votes landed short, Ashley has used what they learned to help other candidates run for office. They strive to help marginalized individuals and women get elected to office. Ashley was elected as a Trustee to the Monroe County Community School Corporation in 2022, and is a precinct committeeperson in the Monroe County Democratic Party.

When not working on political endeavors, you can find Ashley serving on the Beacon, Inc board as well as the Development Committee or working as an Advisory Board member for The Persisterhood Workshop. During their downtime, Ashley likes to hike with their family, knee-deep in antique mall treasures, or at a baseball game.
